Deleting your data

Last updated: August 19, 2026

This page explains how to delete the information ururu holds about you. If you connected an Instagram account, start with the first section.

1. Data from your connected Instagram account

When you connect Instagram, ururu stores an access token, your Instagram account ID, and your Instagram username. We use them only to list your own posts so you can import their photos and captions into your product listings. We never read comments, messages, or insights, and we never access anyone’s account but your own.

To delete all of it, sign in and go to Account → Integrations → Disconnect. That immediately and permanently deletes the stored token, account ID, and username from our database. Nothing about your Instagram account is retained, and we stop being able to reach it.

We recommend also revoking ururu from Instagram’s side, at Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites → ururu → Remove. Instagram does not offer apps a way to revoke their own access remotely, so this step is yours to take and it is the one that ends the authorization itself.

One thing worth being clear about: photos and captions you chose to import have been copied into your own store as product content. They are your store’s data at that point, not Instagram data, so disconnecting does not remove them. Delete the product, or remove individual photos from it, and they are gone.

2. Your ururu account and store

To delete your account and everything in it, email privacy@ururu.store from the address on the account. We will verify the request and delete:

  • your account, sign-in credentials, and passkeys
  • your store’s content — products, photos, and settings
  • connected-integration records, including any Instagram token still stored

Some records are kept where the law requires it — completed orders and payment records, for example, carry tax and accounting obligations we cannot delete our way out of. Our Privacy Policy describes what is retained and for how long.

3. If you shopped at a store hosted on ururu

For orders you placed as a customer, the merchant — not ururu — is responsible for your personal information. Contact the store you bought from. If you cannot reach them, email privacy@ururu.store and we will pass the request on to them.
